Copyright infringement in the entertainment industry has become a very prevalent issue where infringement lawsuits are being filed almost every day. The recent clash over exclusive rights involves none other than 61st Annual Grammy Awards nominee Ariana Grande and Tomboy hitmaker Princess Nokia. According to Destiny Frasqueri aka Princess Nokia, Ariana stole her flow and lyrics in her new banger 7 Rings.

In a trending Twitter post, Ms. Destiny tried to identify all the similarities between her own track Mine, from her 1992 Deluxe album and Grande’s new banger. Interestingly enough, there seems to be a clear correlation between the two tracks both in terms of the beat flow and according to Nokia, lyrical structure.  In the trending post, the Brujas hitmaker attached a video of herself listening to 7 Rings as she pointed out all the allegedly stolen lines.

As if Nokia’s ordeal was not enough, yet another renowned rapper, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em slammed Ariana on 7 Rings claiming that she also stole his vibe in the new banger. In his Saturday tweet, Soulja Boy called Grande a thief in what seemed like a fiery exchange of words. Soulja’s fans brought a lot of attention on the matter where they pointed out major resemblances of Ariana’s song to Soulja’s 2010 hit Pretty Boy Swag.

In his own words, the Kiss Me Thru the Phone brainchild called upon Ariana Grande to give him credits for her new song, just like she did with all other girls who helped her co-write the song. These include Tayla Parx, Njomza, Kaydence, and Victoria Monét.
