“Vain” singer Oladips has just left Reminisce‘s LRR (Les Roses Rogues), revealing he signed a “fraudulent” contract with the record label.
In retrospect, according to him, he would never have signed any contract with the record label, which has not the growth of his career on the cards. He made this revelation in a recent chat with City FM, while nursing the hope other up-and-coming singers would learn from his experience and not make the mistakes he did.
He didn’t stop at leaving LRR. He has gone on to delete whatever might link him to record label, editing his bio and YouTube channel to reflect the current reality. The decision to sign at LRR is one he says he truly regrets.
According to Oladips, Reminisce claimed he wasn’t making money from the record label and made life unbearable for him. Quitting was the option before him. He took it.
Oladips has just released a single titled “Maybe,” and the music video of it, in which he chronicles his frustrations and troubles at LRR. The song is already attracting attention.
In fact a fan wrote Oladips, saying he suffered the same mate at his former record label, and that Oladips has given him courage to plod on.
We Oladips saying he signed a fraudulent contract at LRR, we may have moved into the season of revelations in Nigeria’s music industry after all. Last month (June), for instance, Barry Jhay had revealed he signed an “illegal” deal with Kizz Daniel‘s Flyboy Inc.
He even stated he registered the company with his money and challenged Kizz Daniel to come for the registration documents.
