CDQ’s run in with SARS who threatened to shoot him

by John Ogba-Ifeakanwa

Nigerian singer, CDQ, has shared his run in with SARS officers who threatened to shoot him and his crew. The sad encounter is said to have happened at Osapa London in Lekki, Lagos.

Concerning the incident, he wrote;

The Head in- charge should give proper training to these people… I had a terrible encounter with some illiterate SARS on Friday @ Osapa London Lekki by the Shoprite road threatening to shoot everyone in my convoy including Myself and openly said nothing will happen

?? that they don’t care about anybody ??? Scaring young girls and boys with guns… The incident still baffles me till now

I’ve never in my entire life seen such happening in any other countries… Just only in Nigeria ?? Why molest people anyhow with guns ??? @nigerianpoliceforce “

The post was directed to the Nigerian police force who he mentioned.

Since the inception of the Special Anti – Robbery Squad popularly referred to as SARS, lots of Nigerians have voiced their displeasure in the squad. Some, including celebrities like Sars on d beat and Charles Okafor have narrated sad encounters they’ve had with them.

Some have termed them high way robbers and thieves and accused them of causing havoc on the streets of Lagos and on roads.

Sadly, dance hall singer, CDQ is only the latest celebrity to voice out his ordeal with the anti – robbery squad.

CDQ is presently one of Nigeria’s many successful artists with a string of hits to his name. He is both a Hip Hop rapper, singer and songwriter best known for his singles Nowo E Soke feat. Wizkid, Masterkraft’s Indomie, and Say Baba.
