HKN boss Adewale Adeleke has proposed to girlfriend, Kani. Adewale Adeleke, cousin to Nigerian pop singer, Davido, and founder of HKN Music has proposed to his long time girlfriend, Kani. The engagement took place in New York, in the United States of America.
Apparently, Wale Adeleke took his girl friend to a spot in New York city and proposed to her on the roof top. In a video posted on Instagram, Wale is seen leading her out to the roof. The spot is decorated with a very conspicuous “Marry Me?” inscription which announces his intentions before he gets on his knees.
British singer, Ed Sheeran‘s ‘Perfect‘ plays loudly in the background, before he kneels to propose. What could be more romantic? A very happy Kani stretches out her arm enthusiastic to wear the ring, and says ‘Yes‘ as he mouths the words ‘will you marry me?‘ The very romantic engagement video is really beautiful and shows a side to Wale Adeleke that we do not see much of.
Many celebrities have reacted happily to the news and congratulated the label boss and his new fiancée. Some them included Mavin boss, Don Jazzy, Chioma Rowland (TV Chef and girlfriend to Davido), Maleek Berry, Peruzzi and Emma Nyra. His proposal to Kani comes months after she earned a Masters degree from Georgetown University. Reacting to his own staged proposal, Adewale wrote;
” Yesterday was the best day of my life! She said yes ”
