Kanye West is building Star Wars-Inspired Low Income Homes. Veteran Black American rapper, Kanye West has never hidden the fact that he’s a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise. Often making references to the hit films in his songs lyrics, the singer is definitely inspired by the them.
Asides making lyrical references to the movie, Kanye’s clothes designed and released for his Yeezy line have a clear similarity to Jedi robes. Same kind of robes worn in Star Wars. Wife, Kim Kardashian-West once made reference to this in 2015 when she wrote on social media;
” Star Wars kinda brought me to Kanye.”
This was after the rapper had pressured Daniel Kellison, co-creator of Crank Yankers into bringing Kim Kardashian in to be a part of Alligator Boots, a pilot he was creating for Comedy Central. According to a cover story on the rap star by Forbes, Kanye West is building Low Income Homes inspired by the movie franchise.
In the story, the rapper and fashion creator, takes writer Zach O’Malley Greenburg on a tour of ‘oblong and dozens of feet tall‘ prototypes. On the project, Zach O’Malley writes;
” Inspired by Luke Skywalker’s childhood home, West has been working with a team to design prefabricated structures that sport the same austere aesthetic, with the goal of deploying them as low-income housing units “
“There with the hazy heft of something enormous and far away, stand a trio of structures that look like the skeletons of wooden spaceships”
The creative star also tells O’Malley “they could be used as living spaces for the homeless”
