“Zanku” star Zlatan has shared screenshots of his conversation with YBNL boss Olamide some three years back – in 2016.
In the screenshots shared, Zlatan could be seen asking Olamide to feature him in his album.
He had sent Olamide messages via Instagram and Olamide took time responding because, as he would state later, he was ill. When he did finally respond, Zlatan was beside himself with joy.
He would call Olamide his godfather, thanking him, as well as praying God finish what he has started in Olamide’s life. In the conversation, it is clear Olamide, who was the preeminent artiste, was civil in addressing the “Ijaya” mastermind.
Zlatan stated in the conversation back then of his desire to see the “Woske” hitmaker, adding that if he wouldn’t be happy with himself if he should die without seeing Olamide.
Many consider the screenshots hilarious, but then there are lessons to be drawn from them as well, one of which is that persistence does pay off. Or what do you think?
Zlatan is no longer in the same position when he has to beg to be featured in anything. On the contrary, right now, he is one of the hottest feature materials in Nigerian music and seems booked for features every week.
