The Eminem-MGK feud is a long one and apparently not over yet. And it may not be for a long time, as the two diss each other sporadically. MGK referenced their feud in some of the tracks in his recently released album “Hotel Diablo.”
MGK would rap in “Floor 13,” one of the tracks in the album, about spending too many minutes watching wannabe rappers dissing him: “I just spent too many minutes watchin’ little videos of wannabe rappers dissing me/ I just spent the winter livin’ after someone tried to send a kill shot, missin’ me,” goes some lines. The reference here, of course, is to Eminem’s diss track “Killshot,” which shook the industry at the time of it release.
For many back then, “Killshot” was the ultimate lyrical grenade, totally crushing. But y’all heard MGK said it was a big miss. Now that’s part of his own diss, “missin’ me.”
Also, the “wannabe rapper” line kinda irked an Eminem fan, who goes by the name Dav1d, and he traipsed to the studio to drop own “Killshot” against MGK. Titled “Hotel Dia-Blow Me,” a jocund reference to MGK’s album title, the track is a fiery one, all the same.
Dav1d would tell HipHopDX later that he felt personally attacked and his “Hotel Dia-Blow Me” was more like a leveller – a shot for a shot. Dav1d stated Eminem is important to him and has helped him through a lot of hard shit.
This just might be the reason for taking Em’s war for his own. Or what do you think? Check ou Dav1d’s track and drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
