Tyga Stands with A$AP Rocky, Cancels Sweden Concert

by James Ogunjimi

As calls for A$AP Rocky‘s release from Swedish prison intensifies, rapper, Tyga has canceled his scheduled performance in the country in solidarity with the incarcerated rapper.

A$AP Rocky was arrested and detained over assault after a video surfaced of him assaulting a man who later claimed that his headphone was damaged by the rapper and his crew.

ASAP Rocky had a different story too as he said that the man kept following them and they kept telling him to back off but he didn’t and that he even injured one of his security guys.

His part of the story was not enough though as he has been held by authorities in the country while they try to decide whether or not he would be released.

The rapper was billed to perform at the SMASH Festival in Sweden but was arrested before he could perform and that is not going down well with his fans who have started a petition to free him. The petition has gathered a lot of steam too and authorities will be feeling the fire.

The petition said that A$AP Rocky was being denied access to counsel and that his trial may actually be held mid or late august, meanwhile he was being held in inhumane conditions and his career was getting a hit too.

Tyga whose recent album was a massive hit came online to say that he would not be attending the scheduled show and concluded by asking for A$AP Rocky to be freed.
