Y’all recall we brought you a story on July 1 this year about “Old Town Road” rapper Lil Nas X admitting he’s gay? Dude had tweeted that he wouldn’t let the end of gay Pride Month pass without going public with his sexual orientation.
His going public sparked mixed reactions at the time, with some hailing his decisions and even LGBT groups standing solidly behind him.
Apparently “Lady” mastermind Young Thug is of the view Lil Nas X should not have made his sexual orientation public. Although Young Thugh supports Lil Nas X, he stated that Lil Nas X’s going public with his sexual orientation will actually switch people’s perspective on the song.
“It ain’t even about the music no more, Soon as the song comes on everybody’s like ‘this gay ass ni—a,’” he said in a recent interview with No Jumper.
Lil Nas X is yet to respond to Young Thug’s thoughts on the issue. It remains to be seen if he’ll actually say anything.
By the way, in the same interview, Young Thug had compared Juice WRLD to Lil Wayne. Young Thug thumbed up Juice WRLD’s skills, stating that the rapper is conversant with popular culture and can craft eximious punchlines and bars instantly on any subject.
Juice WRLD, according to him, knows way too much. “If you give him a subject, he’ll go rap right now. And he’s going to have metaphors. He’s going to have punchlines […] You can’t compete with him, he knows too much,” he said.
