The Nigerian Navy has released the list of successful candidates in its recently held aptitude test and a lot of people will be excited about this while others may just find it difficult to know they didn’t make the cut.
In a statement released by the Navy, successful candidates are expected to report for selection interviews in Lagos from July 29 to August 27 and listed a list of things they would need to come with.
The statement credited to the Navy’s Director of Information, “Candidates will be interviewed individually and if it is found that any of the candidates does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature shall be terminated at any stage of the recruitment process.”
Positions in the Nigerian public sector are always highly contested and applied for and this is no different. There’s been a surge of unemployment in the country and most Nigerians will brave the military routines if it will put food on their table. As such, processes like these always take time and resources.
Providing accurate information is crucial to the process too as stated by the Director of Information. According to him: “Failure by any applicant to provide accurate information concerning his/her medical history during the entire selection process as stated on the Medical Examination Pro forma will result to automatic withdrawal from training and dismissal even when already in the Service.”
For a position as sensitive as that, one can hardly fault the Navy for taking extra precautions like these and hopefully, no one will register or apply with fake information as it could land them in dire circumstances. If you got in, congratulations. If you didn’t, we sympathize.
