Nas’ “The Lost Tapes 2” is Coming… Listen to Snippet

Except something should go wrong tomorrow and provoke a deferment, fans of Nas may look forward to a sequel to “The Lost Tapes.” It is 17 years coming – a long time, especially in the music industry.

But it hasn’t been 17 years of vacillation and indolence. Nas has been busy on his music and now has supposedly a tone of tracks – more than enough to cover a string of “Lost Tapes.

Ra-Up reports during a listening session for “The Lost Tapes 2” in New York Jul6 16, Nas had commented that he has enough material to continue the series. He said he had piled a lot of songs since.

This should come as a piece of good news for Nas fans who may feel starved of new music and hankering for something fresh to binge on. At any rate Friday isn’t far away and I doubt fans will have trouble waiting out the next few hours before “The Lost Tapes 2” drops.

That’s right. “The Lost Tapes 2” is what drops Friday. The others may follow suit soon after. There are no details on this yet. Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Hit-Boy and Pharrell, among others, take credit for the production of some of the songs in “The Lost Tapes 2.
