“Lion King: The Gift” is probably the most anticipated album this month. Fans had looked forward to the album’s coming, spoken about it on social media and elsewhere. And they are still speaking about…
This should give you an idea about the appeal of the album and the charm of the artistes on it. The 14-track album has got features in the persons of Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, WizKid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Tekno, (Nigeria) Shatta Wale (Ghana), Moonchild Sanelly, Busiswa (South Africa) Salatiel (Cameroon)
That’s 6 Nigerians, 1 Ghanaian, 2 South Africans and 1 Cameroonian. The reviews for the album and even individual tracks have been positive, from fans and music buffs alike, and should gratify any artiste out there.
Back home, though, Burna Boy‘s “Ja Ara e,” the 3rd track in the album, has become the talk of town. Nigerians are particularly impressed by the synergy between him and Beyoncé.
By his performance in “Ja Ara e,” Burna Boy, who celebrated his 28th birthday recently, may have made it clear, albeit indirectly, that he was completely in earnest when he called himself an Africa giant and even protested when his name was written in small type in the flyer for Coachella 2019.
By the way, in case you don’t already know, Burna Boy‘s album “African Giant” is slated for release on the 26th of this month. Given the sheer brilliance of his outing on “Ja Ara e,” the album just might fly like Edenic dreams. Or what do you think?
