Ex Lostprophets lead man, Ian Watkins recently reportedly had to hide his mobile phone in his anus to stop prison officials from seizing it.
The singer was arrested and when found guilty, sentenced to 35 years in prison for child sex offences and has been in prison. The problem now though is that he or someone who has his password has been tweeting and prosecutors earlier raised a case about this.
Prosecutor Stephen Wood had said that: “The issue here is that he was in possession of a mobile phone in his cell” back in March before the case even kicked off proper.
It has now come to light that he did not only have a phone, he has been shielding it from being seen and collected by hiding it in his anus.
When officials got reliable information that he was hiding a mobile phone in his anus, they removed him from his HMP Wakefield cell and searched him but they found nothing.
Recounting the situation later, the prosecutor said: “The prison had received information the defendant was in possession of a phone. The defendant was searched and nothing was found. During the search the defendant was asked if he had a mobile phone about him and he replied he did not.”
But when Ian Watkins discovered that he may not be able to see his mother who was supposed to visit, he eventually owned up to owning a phone and gave it to the prison official who then turned it in to the prosecutor. His cell was searched too and the search revealed a phone charger.
