Ty Dolla $ign is preparing for the release of his “Tyrone” album but before then, he was at the Tiny Desk concert and performed along with the band.
It’s the one-year anniversary of Mac Miller’s performance at the Tiny Desk concert and how best to honor him and his legacy than for his friend to perform at the concert and dedicate it to him.
Emotions definitely ran high and amok on this as TY Dolla $ign sang along with the band and performed some of the singer’s best songs.
The “Cinderella” song was what TY Dolla $ign performed and it was a song they both performed before Mac Miller‘s death. It was one of the songs off Mac‘s 2016 “The Divine Feminine” album which was in fact his fourth studio album.
Well, at the concert, TY was reminded that a year ago, the duo performed the song together. That seemed to inspire him as he and the band then huddled up and delivered the beautiful tribute that we now get to see.
TY Dolla $ign‘s coming album has “Purple Emoji”, a song that had him team up with J. Cole on it and he has already promised that the coming album will be unique and establish his sound.
According to him: “Every time you hear a record come on, you’re gonna know it’s me, automatic, just off of how it sounds. Just like what Timbaland’s done, Dr. Dre’s done, Metro Boomin. All the greatest.”
While we wait for the album to drop, we recommend watching this tribute and let’s know what you think about it.
