Boxing icon Mike Tyson shared his hand-picked selection of the top 50 Rappers in a list.
On the retired fighter’s list, rap veterans like Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon and Ghostface Killah were included, alongside current rap superstars like Drake. At the top of the list are two legends, Biggie and Pac, followed up with Rakim, Nas, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, and others.
The boxing legend also listed Eminem at No. 12, Andre 3000 at No. 16, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent listed in the twenties. Drake and Rick Ross were listed in the thirties and T.I. further down.
Meanwhile, names of top stars such as KRS-One, Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane, Guru, Grandmaster Melle Mel, E-40, GZA, Q-Tip, were not included.
Earlier this week, The Brew Podcast released a list of “Top 50 Greatest Rappers Of All-Time” that created trending conversations on social media.
While no women made The Brew Podcast’s charts, Tyson regards Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Lauryn Hill, and another BK representer, Lil’ Kim. In addition to Melle Mel, the boxer singles out another group member who never released solo LPs, including Naughty By Nature’s Treach. He also campaigned for names like Erick Sermon, the late Heavy D, and DMC .
