Pharrell Williams‘ new Adidas campaign champions women’s rights.
Pharrell Williams is collaborating with women across the arts and activism in a new campaign with Adidas Originals that champions the women’s rights. Called the “Now Is Her Time” campaign, it is set to showcase and uplift women.
The campaign highlights some of the women in various works including; Reggie Yates (writer, director, broadcaster) Syd (singer/songwriter), Patrisse Cullors (community organiser / cofounder of Black Lives Matter), Nadya Okamoto (Non profit leader / founder of period.org) Iddris Sandu (architectural technologist), Keala Naihe (surfer), Sana Azim (film maker / human rights activist), Tyra Mitchell (mother / activist/ founder or Art Mom Project), Isabela Rangel Grutman (model / cofounder of Style Staves), Sara Cummings and Kadija Diawara (models), Sheena Cain and Sophia Parker (dancers).
The new campaign features women of different sexualities, religions and even identities. It even highlights diversity amongst them. It was launched alongside a new collection by the entertainer and Adidas made up of unisex clothing, and footwear for all ages including children, infants and adults. The collection is scheduled to be released on the 31st of August at Adidas stores, Foot Locker, and other retail stores and online stores. The new collection also features various new colorways such as the Adilette (the newest addition to the HU collection), NMD, BYW and the Solar HU.
The “Now Is Her Time” Campaign is all for female empowerment, channeling different women around America and the strength that they possess. It showcases powerful women in the country and also the people who support them. The campaign is shot by Collier Schorr famous for exploring identity, gender and even sexuality with his shoots.
