Tickets to see Carly Rae Jepsen live in Beijing and Shanghai are now on sale.
Since the release of her fourth studio album, Dedicated in May of this year, Carly Rae Jepsen has embarked on The Dedicated Tour to support the album. It may not have done so well on the charts but it is also as critically acclaimed as her previous album, Emotion.
Carly is scheduled to perform at locations Shanghai and Beijing in October, but not as part of the tour. She is billed to play at Century Center for one evening on October 16 and two other nights at Bandai Namco Shanghai Base on October 20 and 21.
Carly Rae Jepsen is known for her pop songs which focus on love themes and are highly influenced by music from the 80s. With critically acclaimed albums, and popular tunes including Call Me Maybe and I Really Like You, Carly has amassed a ton of fans to herself. Surprisingly her music has not been selling as much as it deserves to. She’s one dope artist people aren’t listening to.
After competing on the fifth season of Canadian Idol and placing third, Carly Rae Jepsen released her folk influenced debut studio album, Tug of War. Her biggest single, Call Me Maybe was written for her second studio album and released in 2011. The song caught pop star Justin Bieber‘s attention who helped promote the song. This led to a deal with Scooter Braun‘s (Bieber’s Manager) School Boy Records and Interscope. Call Me Maybe went on to become the best selling song of 2012 worldwide after spending 9 weeks at number one.
