Pusha T‘s last album, Daytona was a whole vibe, from its awesome production to the bars, everything was lit. A lot of credit goes to the blonde-haired genius with music’s Midas touch who spear-headed the album’s production. From the looks of things, Pusha T wants more of that. Who wouldn’t? Especially if it might earn you a second Grammy nod for Best Rap Album.
The rapper revealed this in a new interview with Ebro on Beats1 where he spoke about his newest song with the amazing Lauryn Hill and coming through with a second Kanye West produced album. Here’s a little back and forth between Pusha and Ebro;
“Will there be an album in 2019?” Ebro asks and Pusha replies, “That’s what I’m in here now cooking up,” Signifying he’s currently in the studio cooking up new sounds for the album. Ebro asks again “Will it be an entire Kanye West production?” “As it stands right now it is” Pusha says hinting at another full fledged Kanye West collaboration.
Ebro then inquires about how many tracks the rapper has ready at the moment “How many records are you sitting on right now?” to which Pusha replies “Like, nine,” He continues saying “I’m good. I’m just, you know…” Ebro finally asks what his play is “are you waiting to see what other people’s plays are?” and Pusha replies “Listen man, I’m waiting on nothing. I’m chilling. I’m making my album and I’m doing what I do over here.”
Pusha recently dropped a new song Coming Home featuring Lauryn Hill. He’s currently promoting the new song but has not hinted as to when the new album would drop.
