The report from Urban Islandz read “A song called “Whip It” was reportedly registered on the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers, or SESAC, which handles performance rights and music licensing. The column for the album title was left blank, but that is a pretty good indication that a collab with Rihanna and the Houston Hottie could be coming very soon.”
The tweet announcing this had in fact been posted earlier by The Pop Hub before Hip Hop Dx jumped on it and made their announcement too. It’s a good time to be alive, isn’t it?
In any case, the tweets announcing this potential collab have already been gathering momentum. Some fans are finding it hard to believe, so while they are excited, they are also wary about believing it.
I mean, Rihanna is the same artiste that has not put out a new project in three years. She has kept fans waiting and is taking her time, so when one or two songs are about to drop, the excitement can be felt.
While the tweets about the song being registered have gone viral already, neither Rihanna nor Megan have confirmed or denied anything but fans are at least keeping hope alive that it’s true and that it won’t be long again or that they won’t have to wait too long before the song drops.
