The country music world is in mourning, and so is Maren Morris. Hours after news broke that Country singer, Kylie Rae Harris had lost her life in a fatal three-vehicle crash in northern New Mexico, 29-yr-old Maren Morris took to her Instagram story to pay tribute to her. Posting a photo of the late 30-yr-old singer, Maren on Thursday, wrote that she was in shock from the news. She also said she was thinking of the late singer’s family and her six-year-old daughter, Corbie.
“Damn. I just heard the news and I’m in shock. @kylierh, you have always been so sweet and supportive of me. You soulful voice and Texas beauty was always jaws-dropping, even when we were teenagers at the Larry Joe Taylor festival. Thinking of your family and your precious baby girl right now. Rest in peace.”
Kylie Rae Harris died in a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday night in New Mexico. Harris had reportedly gone there to play the Big Barn Dance in Taos Thursday. A 30-yr-old woman and a 16-yr-old girl were also killed in the crash but the third driver escaped injury. Reports state that alcohol is suspected to be one of causes of the crash.
Her publicist in a statement to Billboard said,
“We are heartbroken to confirm that Kylie Rae Harris passed away in a car accident last night. We have no further details to share, and ask for privacy for her family at this time. Everyone that knew Kylie knew how much she loved her family and, beyond that, how much she loved music. The best tribute to her unmatched enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you.”
