If anyone had known Michael Jackson, Akon was definitely one of them. The singer and Michael recorded Hold My Hand and another track together back when the king of pop was still living. In his death, allegations involving him molesting underage kids have risen and metamorphosed into a full blown documentary, Leaving Neverland.
So many celebs have sounded off on the reality of the documentary, some for the late singer, others against him. American rapper 50 Cent continues to troll the late singer with his blatant opinions. Akon has now given his opinion on the matter. The singer, during a chat with Ebro on The Morning Show said if Michael was proven to be a pedophile, he would not defend him.
“I’m a realist, if Mike was a creep or he was a pedophile or something like that… I’m not gonna sit here and defend him. I must tell you straight up, ‘Yo bruh that dude right there, I can’t rock with him. It’s no different from R Kelly. I know R. Kelly, but when I found that’s what it was, I would tell him to his face, ‘Bro, you f**ked up for that sh*t.'”
According to him, Neverland was built so Michael could live out the childhood he never had. He also said no one had any idea what happened there. He continued,
“Mike was one of the most powerful men in the music business, ..That was all humantiarian and just him having a love for kids period.”
