At the beginning of the year, it was reported that Toronto rapper, Drake had signed a 10-show deal with Wynn‘s XS Nightclub. The announcement showed that the rapper had followed in the footsteps of fellow artists, Celine Dion, Cardi B, and more to clinch a Vegas residency.
“OVO Pop-Up at Wynn Plaza opens this Saturday.
The shop will feature weekly drops every Friday from September 14-January 12.
The premiere of the Pop-up show will coincide with the rapper’s concert at the same location on Saturday. This is part of his 10-show agreement worth, $10 million which he signed earlier on in the year. At the shop, fans can purchase OVO Essential collection, exclusive OVO x Wynn t-shirts, new in-line designs from Fall/Holiday 2019 collection, and more.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about the partnership, Executive Vice President and Managing Partner of Nightlife for the venue, Alex Cordova said;
“A partnership will be the right word [for this relationship] because this isn’t just about performing at the venue. This is more about how we bring Drake into the concept of Wynn Las Vegas. We’re looking at all possible environments within the hotel and working with Drake and Drake’s team to see exactly how he can lend assistance in curating these experiences.”
2020 dates for the rapper’s residency have yet to be announced.
