Kendrick Lamar shells out $10 million for Manhattan beach mansion.
What’s success if you can’t give your family the best things in life? Which they obviously deserve. Kendrick Lamar became a dad in July when he and fiancée Whitney Alford welcomed a daughter into the world. The new dad who was previously renting a house in the seaside of Manhattan beach has now purchased a house for himself and his new family.
Variety reports that the multiple Grammy winning rapper acquired the new property in an off-market sale for over $9.7 million. The rapper has reportedly been a long time resident of L.A.’s South Bay region. The magazine reports that since the property was never publicly listed for sale, interior photos from it and its exact specs were not revealed.
Lamar‘s new property was reportedly built by Powers Development, a veteran local luxury homebuilder. The 5,350 square feet house is a three-storey structure which contains four bedrooms and seven full bathrooms. It also features sunset water views (it isn’t oceanfront) from its uppermost level which contains a large open-air balcony.
The property also contains a three-car garage, a front yard with a patio, and walls of glass (from floor to ceiling). Properties in the residence do not contain swimming pools, as does this one. The new property is next door to a mansion currently under construction belonging to ice hockey star, Ryan Miller. Some other celebs living in the area include, Zooey Deschanel, Blake Griffin, Maria Sharapova, and Luke Walton.
Lamar had previously purchased a property in the gated area of Calabasas, California for his extended family (including his mom, his sister and other family members).
