Kanye West Is 2019’s Forbes’ Highest Paid Hip-Hop Act

has been having a pretty great year and it’s not even over yet. From performing incredible sessions of his highly acclaimed sets to the many projects which have gained a lot of media coverage. The rapper continues to be one of the most talked about acts this year.

Kanye has a new achievement under his belt now. For the first time ever, he has topped Forbes‘ list of 2019’s Highest Paid Rappers. The rapper is number one ahead of huge names including , , and Travis Scott.

Forbes reports that Ye‘s pretax income was a whopping $150 million setting him up at number one, while retreats to number two with $81 million. West‘s huge earnings stem from the success of his signature footwear collaboration with Adidas, Yeezy. The partnership with Adidas is projected to rake in over $1.5 billion in sales this year.

The fashion icon’s earnings this year is a huge increase compared to his 2018 income of $27.5 million. Also on the list are; at number 3 with a $75 million income, followed by at number 4 with $70 million. Ye‘s soon-to-be brother-in-law Travis Scott sits pretty at number 5 with an earning of $58 million.

Male acts round out the remaining of the top 10 including, Eminem, DJ Khaled, Kendrick Lamar, Migos, and Childish Gambino. Just outside the top 10 at numbers 12 and 13 are and Cardi B who are the only female hip-hop acts to make the top 20.
