Up and coming South African rapper, Kid Tini just dropped Go To, a freestyle and it’s lit. Some rappers need dope beats to shine, while some shine anyway, dope beats or not. This is the case with South Africa’s Kid Tini, who always stuns on any beat with sicker flows than almost anyone. He recently dropped a new freestyle, and it’s 100% everything. We should totally dub him the newest prince of freestyles.
Born Phiwe Unami Tini in Butterworth (Eastern Cape, South Africa), Kid Tini is a young hip hop artist known for his catchy hooks and skillful lyricism. Although up and coming, Tini is not new to the music industry, having previously worked with big South African hip hop acts and international acts too. According to him, he gets his musical inspiration from his older brother, who he heard his demo at age 10 and was fascinated by it.
Initially thinking rap was for famous people on TV alone. Cinga singer, Tini began a rap career with the help of his older brother who showed him the ropes and supplied him equipment. In May of 2017, Tini joined Ambitious Entertainment and released two smash hits through the label. Tini has released a string of singles, including a mixtape which has further introduced him to the world of hip hop. In fact, to us, he’s hip hop royalty.
His new freestyle, Go To follows Haters, his previous release from last month. The young rapper shows off his stunning lyricism on the track and wows with each bar he spits. Go To is everything a dope freestyle should be, 100% all the way.
