Snoop Dogg and Swizz Beatz Start the “Countdown”

by James Ogunjimi

We are getting ready for Snoop Dogg‘s “I Wanna Thank Me” project, but before then, we get to groove to this new song from from him titled “Countdown” and he has a rapper from the East Coast, Swizz Beatz on this.

The Doggfather has come a long way too and has been in the industry for long. While he has never won a grammy, he has had countless nominations and is already a legend in the industry.

His collaborator on this song, Swizz Beatz is a legend from the East Coast too, showing that the age-long beef they all used to have is now a thing of the past, or, you know, been fixed by age. They are all not kids anymore, you know?

This song though us the doggfather at one of his best. He’s always at home rapping about guns and gangs and did drop some bars on this one.

He opened with “N***a, understand, West Coast son of Sam / Drumming with a hunnid bands / Cause that ain’t shit to a real crip, cuz / You’ll swallow every clip before a n***a slip, cuz / LBC, yeah, we gets love.”

Swizz Beatz joined him on the track too, spitting lines that remind you of the back in the days hits. No rush, just slow and steady rapping to some instrumentals and light drumming and you can bob your head along to what the duo of Snoop Dogg and Swizz Beatz cooked up on this song. we know we love it and recommend listening.
