Preparing for the release of his new album, Trying To Find My Next Thrill, expected to drop on August 14th, Boston rapper, Cousin Stizz releases a new joint from the album. The song, Toast 2 That features fellow American rapper, Freddie Gibbs who’s famous for his hard hitting bars.
Cousin Stizz comes through in a laid back manner on this new one which is still dope to hear. Toast to that is Stizz‘s third delivery from the upcoming album. The first two, STP and Perfect were equally great tracks and the latter featured hip hop duo, City Girls. The rapper seems poised the hit the rap game hard with this new project.
Cousin Stizz was crowned Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards last year, for which he became the first hip hop musician to receive the ceremony’s highest honor. This was for good reason, the Boston rapper has built a reputation of always coming through with each release since he hit the scene in 2014 (mostly on SoundCloud).
Previously known to be one of Soundcloud‘s most popular emerging acts, the rapper has come a long way in the rap game and still has more wins to get. On Toast 2 That, Stizz lays back on the beat produced by Tedd Boyd and Lil Rich while Gibbs goes on a rampage. Both rappers still manage to complement each other as the song progresses. Gibbs is no sleeper, no matter how slow the tempo, he proves that on this one and it is a thrill to hear.
