Brockhampton‘s new song ‘If You Pray Right’ is an almost-religious tune and comes with a music video.
American rap collective, Brockhampton seem to be inspired by religious themes lately owing to their recently released singles. The rap group has recently dropped the second single off their upcoming fifth studio album, Ginger and it’s called If You Pray Right. The new song which comes with an accompanying music video follows their previously released track, I Been Born Again which also dropped with its visuals.
The new track was made available to stream on Apple Music and it’s video was uploaded to the video streaming site, YouTube. Both the single and its video were first teased by the group on social media before it finally dropped. Kevin Abstract tweeted; “New Video Tonight” on Aug. 7th in anticipation for the video.
Both If You Pray Right and I Been Born Again are expected to appear on the group’s upcoming fifth studio album, Ginger although no date has been announced for the record’s release. Ginger is expected to drop later this month. However, the rap group has released some merch (including t-shirts, shorts, wallets, sweatpants, and more) incpired by the new album.
The music video for If You Pray Right is directed by Spencer Ford. Meanwhile, Kevin Abstract, on Aug. 8 took to Twitter to announce a ‘little surprise‘. He tweeted;
“make sure u check Spotify and Apple Music later tonight for a little surprise until then keep watching this bid and spread the word.”
Ginger follows the group’s last album, Iridescence which debuted at the top of the Billboard chart after being released in September, 2018.
