Johnathan Michael Porter, better known by his stage name Blueface, has dropped his first official studio release for Cash Money Records titled Dirt Bag, featuring Mozzy, Lil Pump, Offset, and Rich the Kid.
Following his self-declaration as the “best lyricist” of his generation, the West Coast rapper had revealed a few weeks ago on his twitter page that he would release his first full-length project of 2019 and his first since his hit song “Thotiana.”
The 22-year-old rapper, who has dropped off new music over the last few months, including remixes to his chart-topping hit and most recently his collaboration with YG and Tyga on the latter’s single, “Bop”, maintains his success with this eight-track project. The EP includes collaborations with Mozzy (“Gang”), Lil Pump (“Bussin”), Offset (“Bussdown”), and Rich the Kid (“Daddy”).
Listeners have wondered what would an album from Blueface sound like and the question of whether he could duplicate the success of his breakout single had been raised. Fans will now find all their favourite familiar Blueface attributes, including off-beat rapping and beats that are similar to his past tracks.
