Following the recent announcement by the estate of late rapper XXXTentacion on the details of the forthcoming Deluxe Anniversary Edition of his 2018 album,  “? (Question Mark)”, a new remix of XXX’s song “#ProudCatOwner” featuring Maryland rapper Rico Nasty has just been released.

The track, produced by Ronny J, was originally released after someone allegedly hacked X’s SoundCloud in December of 2017 around the same time as his “A Ghetto Christmas Carol EP“. Rico had recently performed the song as her 2019 XXL Freshman cypher.

X’s hilarious songwriting style and vocal inflictions blend perfectly with Rico’s rapid-fire bars. The late rapper delivers lines like,

Slurp on pussy like Lo Mein. I’m Progressive like Flo, man”

With Rico’s verse serving as an updated version of her XXL Freshman Cypher verse, she delivers lines like,

Yes, I’m a girl, I go harder than n****s do. I’m in a Benz, that’s the color of Fruity Loops.”

The . This is the type of X track (like many others) that warrants a mosh pit.

The remix, which was produced with a beat as hard as the lyrics, will be included as a part of the Deluxe Anniversary Edition of XXXTentacion’s ? (Question Mark) album set to be released on Sept. 6.

? (Question Mark) was released three months before X‘s death and has racked up over 11 billion streams. The deluxe edition of the album features the original tracklist, and instrumentals, the A Ghetto Christmas Carol EP (made available in physical format for the first time), and a bonus LP of rarities and voice memos recorded by the late XXXTentacion.
