Following the release of his latest project “Floor Seats,” ASAP Ferg appeared on Sway in the Morning, where he talked about his career moves, fashion and lifestyle, making the project, and his close friend and collaborator – A$AP Rocky’s recent legal battles. The interview took a different direction at the unexpected entrance of Chance the Rapper into the studio.
Ferg, who was was about 30 minutes into the interview, was ready to freestyle when Chance came in. So, the duo decided to do the freestyle together, going back and forth over different instrumentals played by DJ Wonder for over 15 minutes. They switched from one beat to the other, including beats of JAY-Z’s “Where I’m From”, Outkast’s “Elevators,” Missy Elliott‘s “Sock It 2 Me,” and more. Taylor Bennett, Chance’s brother also joined in the fun.
The 30-year-old Ferg set the tone, rapping about an imaginary woman with whom they had both hooked up.
“That was before you was listening to gospel music. And that was when you used to be rockin’ to it, on the tour bus.” – Ferg rapped.
The 26-year-old Chance took it up, rhyming with a laugh.
“I’m married now/Don’t get carried now, don’t get carried away. I got the ring, shout out to my bae.”
