Lil Nas X Finally Releases Panini Video

has over time teased the making of the music video. Ever the creative and funny guy, Nas X has always depicted his song, in various funny cartoonist memes. After his very enjoyable performance at the MTV VMAs, Nas X announced via his social media that he’d be releasing the Panini music video soon. His “well lit” performance at the VMAs very well suggested a futuristic Panini video which is exactly what the rapper / singer delivers now.

The new Panini video is set in a futuristic world which features flying cars, and even hologram billboards. The video also stars Disney actress Skai Jackson who hounds as she unsuccessfully tries to escape him. Nas X hilariously follows her everywhere she goes, in person and as a hologram in a bid to win her over as a fan. The video also features robots as backup dancers.

Speaking in an interview on Apple Music‘s Beats 1, Nas X said “One of the craziest things about Panini is it introduced me to Nirvana’s , Nevermind. It’s like I always seen the cover but I never actually listened to it. And people was like ‘wow, he sampled ‘Nirvana’. I I was like ‘no’. I didn’t realize I was using almost the exact same melody.”

Panini was released as the second single off Lil Nas X‘s debut EP 7. The music video was released in September 5. The song has since reached number 16 on the hot 100.
