Since British singer, FKA Twigs hinted at a Future collaboration in her upcoming album, Magdalene, the hip hop community has been in anticipation of the song. In an interview with Frankie Dunn for i-D, Twigs said; “I wasn’t sure whether he (Future) would even know who I am. I was like, ‘Hi it’s twigs. Let me know if you wanna talk about music or anything’. He texted back right away.”
The new track is trap-infused, and is produced by Twigs, Skrillex and Jack Antonoff. The official music video is directed by Twigs and Nick Walker. It features the singer riding a bull and performing incredibly choreographed moves under a trippy desert sky.
The newly released song is a dark one and features Future’s vocals in the background, before he sings his verse. Future’s lines and feel in the song proves that he’s always on top of his game when he really opens up.
Speaking about Future‘s contribution on the song, Holy Terrain before its release, the very flexible hit maker said,
“He’s such a sweetheart. His verse is beautiful. He’s just talking about his downfalls as a man; his he’s sorry and asking for healing. I love sad Future. I love when he gets emo, when he expresses himself. It’s just so beautiful when he opens up.”
The song is taken off Twigs‘ upcoming album, Magdalene which is expected to drop on October 25. The album which will contain 9 tracks was recorded over the last three years in London, New York and Los Angeles.
