Joyner Lucas Releases Uncoming Album Title Track “ADHD”

It’s been almost a year now since announced his upcoming album. The album has been a no show but no one knows why. Just last month the rapper fired his longtime manager, Sha XL saying “he doesn’t work but wants to collect a check“. That’s likely to be the reason why the album has been delayed but we can only speculate.

Although Lucas gave a specific date or time for the album, it’s only fair to say that he’d planned on releasing it but unforseen issues held it back. The rapper has now dropped the title track from the album. A jam in which he raps and sings. follows featuring Timbaland which didn’t do so well. Hopefully, would go the extra mile.

Lucas‘ upcoming album is inspired by his diagnosis as a kid. He was said to be aggressive, hyperactive and impulsive hence the diagnosis. In a lengthy post, the rapper announced the album on Instagram last year. He wrote;

When I was a kid I was diagnosed with ‘ADHD’.. they said I was aggressive, fidgety, hyperactive, impulsive, etc… they tried to put me on meds. Everyone around me including my own parents made me feel like I wasn’t normal. I had to constantly see a doctor who made me take tests and all that. They separated me from the regular kids in school and put me in these classes away from everyone,”
