Drake‘s new series is out, and it’s got a soundtrack assisting it. The new season of the series dropped at night on Netflix. The soundtrack was released by Drake’s OVO Sound to support the new season. Although Drake doesn’t really dominate in the project, he makes an appearance at the bottom of the record. The song is a recorded freestyle of his previous release, Behind Barz which was originally a diss at Kanye West.
The rapper’s appearance on the album is a bonus track. Drake previously delivered the freestyle for Link Up TV back in 2018. The video racked up millions of views but was never officially released as a single. Drizzy rerecorded the freestyle and added it to the Top Boy compilation.
In the track, he spits the bars, “I know so much sh*t that I cannot expose / I keep it inside and I laugh on my own / Got all the tea and I’m hottin’ it up / I need a shade mansion, a room’s not enough“. He comes for competition in the rap game, and pretty much slays them all.
The new season of the UK series, Top Boy is executive produced by Drake alongside Lebron James’ manager Maverick Carter. The rapper reportedly fell in love with the series after working it on YouTube. When he realised it had been cancelled, he made calls to bring it back therefore signing on as an executive producer for the new season.
Drake is reportedly working on his new album set to drop later in November.
