Miffed by the mushy bars some artistes push out these days? Aghast at the songs that seem to oscillate forever around love? Come on, there’s the chance you might find salvation in J Stone’s newest belter “See You Fail.” It features The Game. This is one of two collaborative singles, if you pleas. The second is imminent.
“See You Fail” totes a familiar theme, but here rendered with cosmic acuity you just want to clap and, well, rock the song. It gives you a 3D view of the tropes of fame and its krait-infested underbrush: adversaries posing as pals while loathing the fact you’re no longer gasping in privation but rocking the town in a Lambo and what say you.
“See You Fail” was to have been a “ménage-a-trois,” I am inclined to believe, for Nipsey Hussle would have been a part, but the impatience of tragedy denied Nipsey Hussle a feature appearance: Before Nipsey Hussle became famous J Stone had known him, and even recalled how The Game had encouraged them, together, to keep on rocking.
Apparently they did listen. Both became famous.
With fame came the morbid reality that those supposedly closes to you might end up resenting your plush reality. All the same one gotta rock this life and not redact one’s reality into something gutter. One would still be resented anyway, only by different denizens of this material plane. Duh!
