After hearing a whole lot from Rita Ora in the past few years, it looks like Rita Ora has finally decided to make her mark this year. She releases “Girls,” the unprecedented ladies anthem with Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha, and Cardi B.
over the months, the song’s line-up was rumored to be several different people, but she’s finalized it with an all-star cast. Rita Ora recruits a girl gang consisting of Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX for her latest single, “Girls.”
The LGBTQ empowering track features the all-star quadruplet sing (and rap) about loving beautiful women while embracing and uplifting their sexuality. During an interview on the UK’s 95-106 Capital FM, Ora said she held on to the song for two years despite performing an early version at her shows.
“I’m at the point where I don’t even know anymore. I’ve had this song in my back pocket for two years,” she said.
According to Rita Ora, she planned on not releasing “Girls” as a single. However, her friends’ persistence for the song made her rescind on her decision and release it.
Propositioned to be a massive single that’s about to be a summer anthem with “Girls,” Ora comes through with the likes of Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX on the cut. While the three ladies flex the melodies with this pop jam, Cardi comes through with some gritty bars for her part on the track.
