With Memorial Day around the corner, there’s no perfect song for the summer than J.Lo’s new single titled “Dinero”. As was first rumoured last year, Jennifer Lopez has belted out a new single featuring fellow Bronx native, Cardi B, and produced by DJ Khaled.
Following up on “Us” featuring Skrillex from earlier this year, the singer-songwriter and actress is back with “Dinero.” Dinero is a bilingual staccato-party song with its theme heavily premised on getting money and stacking it high. In “Dinero”, J.Lo brags about her earning power (doesn’t she deserve it?), with the chorus: ‘I just want the green, want the money, want the cash flow…. yo quiero dinero”.
If rumors are to be believed, “Dinero” and other recent singles commissioned by J.Lo such as ‘El-Anillo”, “Amor, Amor, Amor” and “Ni Tu Ni Yo” may eventually be used in an upcoming Spanish-language album, Por Primera Vez, which doesn’t have a release date yet.
Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to perform the bilingual triple threat on Sunday at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
Meanwhile, just days ago, Cardi B deleted her Instagram account after responding to Azealia Banks insults, and now the Bronx native is being taken to court on the grounds of alleged assault at the Met Gala.
