American indie band, Bon Iver has come through with yet another song titled “Hey, Ma” and it is a song that deserves to be heard. Sad, yes, but one that packs a lot of emotions that need to be felt. After headlining at All Points East, the singer came through with two songs in one day titled “U” and “Hey, Ma” and both have been very well received even if “Hey, Ma” stood out and connected more.
The song is as good as they come as sees Bon Iver team up with Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner who handled vocals and guitar with writing credits for the song going to Brad Cook and BJ Burton together with Justin Vernon who started Bon Iver himself.
Some really good songs have come from Bon Iver in the past, some of which are “Perth”, “Holocene”, “For Emma”, “Calgary”, “Skinny Love” and more as well as collaborations with some of the biggest names around and this song, while mostly a solo effort apart from the instrumentals, has Justin Vernon in his natural element.
In 2016, the band had released their “22, A Million” album and the two newly-released songs are the followup to that project that was very well received and listened to by music fans.
The “Hey, Ma” song was produced by Chris Messina, Brad Cook, Justin Vernon, and BJ Burton who by the way, co-wrote the song and we love what they all did with this, honestly, and recommend listening to it right away. To listen, stream and share your comments in the comments section.
