Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny dumps his “Bad” shell and walks into his “original clothes” – his own name – all for Father’s Day. And it’s got everyone talking.
Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio is the reggaeton singer now famous by the adopted stage name Bad Bunny. For Father’s Day, however, the celebrated singer dumped his stage name, electing, instead, to use his given name in the song released to celebrate all the fathers out there: “Flor.”
And it wasn’t entirely a solo effort, either, as he had the backing of the Puerto Rico-based three-man group Los Rivera Destino. Together the quartet delivered a laid back number that is bound to melt hearts. The song is backed by an impressive music video that calls to be watched.
I think “Flor” one of the most impressive and one of the finest of Bad Bunny yet. In fact if the finest of him were to be collected right now, it is not open to doubt “Flor,” with its laid back beats, didactic yet unsentimental vibes, will surely make the list. The song stirs the spirit and might provoke a deep appreciation for father figures.
“Flor” may be assumed a track right in time, as Bad Bunny had earlier done something for the gals – sorry, for women. His song “Callaíta,” of which he just released a music video, is a celebration oof womanhood and the necessity of female empowerment.
