The Jonas Brothers made a comeback recently and released their “Happiness Begins” project and now they have a new “Greenlight” song and it makes a lot of sense.
The trio visited Songland on Tuesday and got to hear four people perform after which those whittled the list to three with each of the last three getting a mentor.
Speaking about that, Nick Jonas had said that they were looking for something that would hit them right between the eyes and well, maybe they found it, maybe not.
According to him: “Lookin’ for a big ‘ol hit today. I think the thing we’re looking for most is something that hits us right between the eyes. That we know we can take around the world and play for our fans everywhere we go.”
The “Greenlight” performance was one of the beautiful ones that night from Able Heart whose dreams of skate boarding in the Olympics hit a snag after he injured his back as a 15-year old. The song was touching too as he sang: “You say I got the green light/ The things we do past midnight/ Just me and you don’t need a light.”
“Sucker” and “Cool”, two songs from the Jonas Brothers’ new project are still trending because of how good they are but the brothers have already moved on and are looking for the next big thing and while it’s still too early to say if the Songland performances connected on a deeper level, we still recommend listening to “Greenlight”.
