“Old Town Road” rapper, Lil Nas X has finally come through with his debut “Seven” EP and it’s a nice culmination to the many teases and releases we have gotten online.
The rapper is trying to shake off being stereotyped in terms of style and finding success on his first time out. It’s not everyday that an artiste finds success and sits atop a billboard chart for weeks and months on his first try but Lil Nas X has managed this with “Old Town Road” and has to always be top or fans would think he has lost it.
He made the right play with “Seven”, bringing in some big names but going the creative mile himself. This project is the project that tells everyone that he’s not a one-act wonder or a flash in the pan and judging by the earlier releases, he has made a good case for himself.
Speaking later about the style explored on the project and the project itself, he said: “This EP is going to get everybody ready for this album that’s coming later- it can be 20 songs a day, and then it’ll be like, ‘Oh, 35?’ And then I’ll be like, “‘h, wait, oh, I like these ones. I like this one now. Oh, this is like 27 songs.’ And it’s like, nah. But a lot of songs I go in with the intent of finishing, so if I feel like I might want to finish making a song while I’m listening to the beat I’m just like, ‘Cut the whole thing,’ pretty much.”
He has songs like “Panini”, “Kick It”, “Rodeo” and more on this and teams up with Cardi B and Billy Ray Cyrus and we recommend listening to the project.
