If you thought he was playing around, then you might be right as industry titan, Wale premieres a new single titled “Daylight.” The rapper whose real name is Olubowale Victor Akintimehin has remained a mainstay on the circuit since he grabbed local success and acclaim in his hometown with the 2006 single “Dig Dug.”
However, the Northwest, Washington, D.C-native achieved the finest hour of his career when he launched “Bad Remix” in 2013. The effort which featured Rihanna remains Wale’s highest-charting song as a lead artist; peaking at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The “Pole Dancer” mastermind has remained at the top of his grind ever since and he looks set to extend the terrific streak with the premiere of his upcoming album. In fact, “Daylight” is only a preview, teaser and appetizer of what’s to come as Wale duly informs he has completed work on the project and only awaiting release orders from Warner Bros’ executives.
Yet, “Daylight” is a bout of vibe and dope that Wale still achieves a glittering overall despite opening up about some of his challenges and insecurities about being troubled and introverted. Good thing is it all ends well as Wale chooses to use these inadequacies as a springboard to success with the damsels.
“Daylight” is one steamy and wavy number that Wale already declares a summer anthem and you wouldn’t even fault those assertions. You definitely want to get right into this sunny bliss for the months of sunshine ahead. Simply cop a dose, then be sure to share your thoughts and opinion in the comments section below.
